I’m no parenting expert, but here’s what I’ve learned in my years of being a dad:
When I laugh, they laugh.
When I sing, they sing.
When I yell, they yell.
When I play, they play.
When I talk, they talk.
When I listen, they listen.
When I hug their mom, they hug their mom.
When I pray, they pray.
When I show frustration, they show frustration.
When I show love, they show love.
It’s quite evident, as they have learned what to do, when to do it, how to do it, how not to do it, it’s not always going to matter what I say.
What really matters is what I do. Because apparently, they’re always watching.
